Custom Productions

Custom Productions, Inc. is a multi-faceted entertainment production company that has successfully produced over 250 projects in film, television, web and commercials.

 

Headed by writer/director Steve Stockman, entertainment projects include producing Gnarnia, for Comedy Central, three seasons of NBC/U's hit show Brew Dogs,  Dogs of War for A&E, and Discovery Channel’s 3-season hit Devils Ride. The company created and produced $24 in 24 for Food Network, and has completed pilots and development projects for A&E, AMC, BET, CMT, Comedy Central, Food Network, History Channel and others.

 

Custom also produced Stockman’s award-winning MGM feature film Two Weeks, starring Sally Field and Ben Chaplin.

Steve Stockman is  a producer, writer, director of feature film, television, music videos and over 200 commercials. 

 

Steve wrote, produced and directed the award-winning MGM feature film Two Weeks, starring Sally Field, Ben Chaplin, Tom Cavanagh, Julianne Nicholson, Glenn Howerton and Clea DuVall.

 

He's also the author of the world's best-selling cinematography book, How to Shoot Video that Doesn’t Suck. Published in 9 languages, the book is now in its tenth printing featuring an updated edition from Workman Publishing. Steve blogs about video at www.SteveStockman.com, speaks and consults on it, and tweets @stevestockman.


Steve serves as a faculty member and President of the Board of Trustees of the Summer Stars Foundation, a non-profit performing arts program for disadvantaged youth. He is a life member of the Creative Education Foundation and on the faculty of their training institutes.

 

Steve is past President of the Board of the Westside Waldorf School in Pacific Palisades, CA., and a graduate of Brown University in Providence, RI.
